Lowndes County Family Violence Task Force, Inc. Welcomes You

Lowndes County Family Violence Task Force, Inc. (LCFVTF) is a community collaborative and multi-disciplinary team that provides awareness and education on Family Violence to the community.  The LCFVTF strives to ensure safety for victims of Family Violence.  We are a 501 (c) (3) Non Profit Organization.

Many of us know someone who is hurting or has been hurt by someone they love and care about the most.  Most often that someone is a husband, wife, living intimate partner, child or parent.  Abusive behavior that is physical, mental or sexual between two people who are related by blood or marriage, who are living together, or who have ever lived together is called FAMILY VIOLENCE. Family Violence crosses all boundaries (race, ethnicity, gender, age, religion, socioeconomic, and sexual orientation) making it the most common and most dangerous crime we face in our communities.

The time for community awareness and intervention is now and Lowndes County is stepping up to the plate.  The Lowndes County Family Violence Task Force members have worked relentlessly to develop an effective coordinated community response in order to increase public awareness, victim safety, and offender accountability.  Its members are comprised of community based agencies, professionals, concerned citizens and survivors of Family Violence.
